Dr. Jahns graduated with a degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Perpetual Help, Las Piñas City.

She pursued further studies in the field of Esthetic Dentistry (PAED101), participating in the first batch of Filipino dentists to enroll in the PAED-UCLA Esthetic Continuum Program, offered by the UCLA College of Dentistry, Los Angeles, California, completing Levels 1 and 2. Since then she has attended several conferences and symposia in the field of Esthetic Dentistry.

During her term as 12th PAED President, Dr. Jahns streamlined dental missions, which are an integral part of the Academy’s masterplan. Instead of staging visits to several communities at different time frames, she chose to focus on a chosen public elementary school-community. This was thought to be the better way to achieve continuity and effectiveness of efforts.

PAED twinned with a non-government organisation, the Rotary Club of San Pablo, Laguna in a project to save the First permanent molars of all public elementary school students in San Pablo and also for the Molfrid’s Children’s Mission, Philippine’s in Payatas, Quezon City.

PAED together with the Bacolod City Dental Chapter adopted a community for the PDA Serbisyong Pinoy Program – the Ata tribe in Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental. Since proper hygiene is still overlooked and not well observed in the community, we gave priority to hygiene as we consider it one of the vital factors for the survivability of their tribe as proper hygiene especially oral hygiene ensures the prevention of infections and further complications caused by bacteria and viruses.

In 2018, PAED was awarded a Certificate of Accreditation by the House of Delegates of the PDA and was approved as a CPD Provider by the Philippine Regulatory Commission.

Dr. Jahns was a member of the faculty of the College of Dentistry, University of Perpetual Help in Las Piñas. She lectured on Occlusion and Oral Physiology subjects. She is also a lecturer of PAED’s 101 post graduate Esthetic program.

An active member of Rotary International up to the present. She was a World Class President of Rotary Club of Parañaque Metro, District 3830.
