Dr. Clemente graduated with the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of the Philippines Manila (UP Manila) in 1989 and completed his Master of Public Health degree from the College of Public Health of the same university in 1994.

He proceeded to supplement his education with several post-graduate courses including Occupational Health and Safety from UP Manila in 1994, Preventive and Interceptive Orthodontics from the Filipino Orthodontic Study Club in 1988, Aesthetic Dentistry from the UCLA School of Dentistry, Los Angeles, California in 2009 and Aesthetic Dentistry Continuum also from UCLA in 2013.

Further training include participation in the UE-Aichi Gakkuin University Faculty Exchange Program in Nagoya, Japan in 2006 and an Orthodontic Training Program at the Fastbraces University, Dallas, Texas in 2013.

As an academician, Dr. Clemente has taught at the CEU College of Dentistry and at the UP College of Dentistry as Assistant Professor in the early nineties. Currently he is a faculty member of the College of Dentistry of University of the East Manila as Special Lecturer in Dentistry, a position he has held since 1995.

Active in the Philippine dental profession, he was formerly a Committee Chair/Member of the Philippine Dental Association (PDA) and part of its Speakers Bureau. Other posts he has occupied include Founding Member and Past President of the Association of Community Dentistry Educators of the Philippines, Past President of the UP Dental Alumni Association and Ex-Officio Officer of the UP Manila Alumni Association and UP Alumni Association and lastly Past Chairman of the Pierre Fauchard Academy Phil. Section. He was a Key Opinion Leader of Dentsply Phils., Kerr Phils. and SDI (GDS).

Dr. Clemente was Past President of the Philippine Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (PAED) from 2002 to 2004 and is currently one of its regular lecturers. During his term, a number of innovations were launched to include installation of Area Coordinators for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao to further engage members; Sports events like Badminton Tournament to build member camaraderie; the STETIX Newsletter to publish PAED activities and lastly Scientific Research Grants to foster the culture of acquiring new knowledge and capabilities among others. He also spearheaded the first study mission, Lakbay Aral to Hong Kong, an activity which to this day has brought PAED to many counties around the world.

It was also during Dr. Clemente’s administration, with his indefatigable efforts together with other past PAED presidents–that PAED was recognized officially by the Philippine Dental Association as an Affiliate Organization

At present, Dr. Clemente is a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists, Ex-Officio Officer of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, Philippine Section, Life Member of PAED, Member of the Quezon City Dental Chapter, Board Member of the UP Dental Alumni Association, Auditor of the UP Manila Alumni Association, President of RCTInc. and volunteer dentist of Charity First Foundation.

Dr. Clemente maintains a private practice in Quezon City.
